Lavender

Lavender adds a beautiful fragrance and color to the garden. It has many uses but personally I like growing it because of its vibrant color and it is soothing to roll the blossoms between fingers and on your skin for the wonderful aroma. It is best seeded indoors and planted outdoors in early spring. I typically buy the plants and I do have one that survives the winter with good mulching. Lavender likes sun and good drainage. Pollinators love this plant!
